SUMMARY: The story of Simone Veil, Holocaust survivor and French stateswoman, and her sisters Milou (Madeleine) and Denise, told through journal entries, correspondence and previously unpublished memories, very unfortunately not available in English, to my knowledge.
MEMORABLE MOMENT: Simone's sister Denise briefly mentions that their mother was so discreet it wasn't easy to talk about certain intimate topics, the closest any of the sisters comes to mentioning the slightest criticism of their beloved mother who died in Auschwitz.
RATING: Recommend, if you're familiar with other reading about Simone Veil.
